After hearing Bet’s vituoso performance on the party instruments I can see Hucklebug-the musical in your future. You should both start work on your dance routines.

In the realm of surprises, I wasn’t aware a weekly podcast could go a year in 47 weeks. That must be due to some sort of space-time warp caused by Alan Arkin. Any world that has an official Alan Arkin week must be outside the normal reality.

    Happy Anniversary!

Now why’d you have to go and bring me off the nice buzz of talking about Some Like It Hot (4 stars in my book) and go and talk about how nice it is to watch Al Gore’s death by PowerPoint? Did he explain why it was okay to release oil from the capital reserves a few months before his presidential election in order to lower the price per gallon for the SUV drivers of America? I didn’t think so. I actually think he believes passionately in environmental causes, which is why I have huge contempt for him for being a spineless hack. Stick to your guns when you believe in something. But I don’t curse him whenever he comes on TV. I tend to just turn him off, as his delivery style is rather patronizing. But I also turn off W because he’s unlistenable to. I’m not seeing anyone out there worth listening to. I have equal-opportunity loathing.

Now, I was a bit embarrassed earlier in the podcast when Stennie asked who the governor of Virgnia was. I was like “that Joker-faced dude” and couldn’t come up with the name. I’d been starting at Wilder and going forward when Bet said it. Shows how irrelevant the one-term governors are in this state and how rarely he ever pays any kind of attention to the cash cow that is Northern Virginia. I don’t think he comes up here much. And they don’t bother to redo the welcome signs every four years, although we usually don’t bother to welcome the Marylanders and DC-ites. “Hey. You’re here. Whatever”.

I have some suggested songs for HUCKLEBUG-THE MUSICAL. It’ll be GREAT.

    * I’m So Miserable Without You, It’s Almost Like Having You Here

    * I Don’t Know Whether to Kill Myself or Go Bowling

    * I Still Miss You Baby, But My Aim is Getting Better

    * I Would Kiss You Through the Screen Door But It’d Strain Our Love

I’m very pleased to hear that Bush’s cabinet gets an understood fuck off smile I wasn’t making fun of anyone with my misspelling of Scorseseeee I was just being silly.

Thanks for hiring me for Hucklebug.com the Cartoon!  I’ll get right on it!!  Well, once I finish reading War & Peace.  Might be a while…

I’d like to know what both of your favorite *live-action* kids shows were growing up.  Mine is a tie between Shazam and Ultra Woman and Dyna-Girl.  Though Land of the Lost is a CLOSE second…

Every time the Happy Anniversary music comes on I start singing the Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy song.  ARG!

Good luck at the concert, Bet!  I hope it’s better than you think!

Sten, the setting the clock earlier works only if you don’t tell yourself that you’re doing it.  I do that and it works for me all the time.  DAMN.  I just heard myself admit that!!

Oh yeah and I saw the first episode of the second series/season of “Life on Mars” last night and I must say that they have done some things that make the show more interesting than the first season, so I recommend it!!  And, no they did not introduce a small child or a baby dinosaur to be Sam’s sidekick.

I agree with you on the editing thing.  Why do you think I never finished doing the episodes of TheUsCast with Sten as the gueststar?  Having to edit down 3 hours stopped TheUsCast all together!!  🙁  I’ll get back to it eventually, I hope…

    Pyramid was awesome!

    HAPPY YEAR AND SHIT!

    Looking forward to the merch!

Wow – is it really a whole year!!  That is really too amazing to believe!! Oh – I really loved the flintstones Happy Anniversary music – I thought that sounded familiar.  I was a fan of the flintstones – aaahhhh…

I enjoyed your sharing your “what I learned about yous” – too touching!  HA!

I definitely vote for more pyramid – those were great!!  I think that should be a regular feature.  Of course, I want to win the $25,000.  Go Taytie!!!
