blogathon-2.mp3: In which we greet our early listeners, and take our first crack at one of Mike’s lyrics quizzes. Huzzah!
Nicholas can answer them all. .“Caaaaaaaaar”.
Argh. The boy just ate my comments. I was letting him type. He had applauded at the end of this episode.
I was saying that I was having such a hard time coming up with a name that when I came up with Nicholas and it was pointed out to me that Nick was also cancer (I think it was Dishy with “you named your child after cancer!”), I said “screw it, I’ll just define it”.
Stennie – you have an excellent memory!! That is exactly right – funny BBQ team names and paddleboats! This time we are in Eagle, CO – we could probably go river rafting but the water is pretty rough – and I have only river rafted once – like 25 years ago. Gee whiz I am getting old.
This is my 6th this year – we spend pretty much every summer weekend going to BBQ festivals. And the big news is – I am now a judge as of 2 weeks ago – I have judged twice. Today Ervin and I will just hang out in the sun and probably play UNO. And there is a micro-brew tasting that I will probably have to partake in.
Hi Judy the Blogathon monitor!!
Mike’s quizzes make me feel inadequacy as a human being.
Finally, here I am.
<Dick Clark mode> What if I had said, “Diamonds in the back, sunroof top/Digging the scene with a gangster lean”?
I thought it was “Won’t go to Harlem in ermine and pearls” not “Lincolns & Fords.” for Lady is a Tramp…maybe the lyric is from a modern cover of the song?
My grandma used to live in Pasadena, so I used to send all cards and correspondence to her as “To the Little Old Lady from Pasadena” 😀
