New TV show for Bet? You might try Pawn Stars. It airs on the History Channel monday nights. It’s kind of addicting because of the weird stuff people bring in to pawn. One episode had a guy trying to hock an old wooden pirate leg. They also sell airplanes, cars, and you name it. It’s a fun show and the shop owners are all whacky.

American Pickers on the same channel is also pretty fun. Two guys driving around in a van buying junk to sell at their “collectables” business. They target these incredible hoarders who have, like, 10 barns crammed to the roof with junk. The main draw are the two owners who are real characters.

I like the idea of a Hucklebrug End-of-the-World Celebration, even if we don’t die after.

Glad you guys both dug the birthday card my dad and step-mom sent—I had a feeling you’d enjoy it! smile

And you’re right, Sten—Audacity is a pretty cool program. I used it on my Mac before it died.  Very cool.  Sorry it didn’t work on Linux—weird. I haven’t tried it since my linux netbook is too lowpowered for media anything, pretty much. Though ironically, it plays HD video pretty well. Not sure how that is.

Stennie, be glad your work number isn’t shared with 1-800 OOPS-JEW or those other guys at 1-800 MOPS-KEY. wink

Wow—Stennie, your Thanksgiving sounds awesome—and horrible at the same time.  Good luck!!

I may have more… but I have to run now…

I have a topic for you when you need one: “Dumbest story on CNN.com today”. There are so many candidates. Today’s had to do with the Van der Sloot guy being in a “hellhole” of a prison in Peru. Awww, I feel so sorry for the mass murdering f*ckhead.

And here’s another thing. I’m relatively ambivalent about the SUV. The big ones are kind of ridiculous in a very close-in suburb with high rises, but whatever. But seriously, if you don’t know how to maneuver one, such as turning, parking, etc, don’t get one. Get rid of it. I nearly got run over today by a lady driving one and being completely unable to get out of a parking space.

Well, I was born a vegetarian, but nobody informed my parents. Sure. I’ll tell my story on the Podcastathon!
