Ladies, ladies, ladies – I’m still here, listening. I’m just quietly enjoying the show without much to say for myself these days.

If you were asking for buy-in, I’m good with a weekly shoutout for Doug. I’ve never met him, but I know lots of people who have been touched (literally and figuratively) by him. He’s clearly a shoutout-worthy kind of guy!

    Hey Hucklefolks!
I’m behind and only half way through this week’s show – but had to comment on the great Bean and Ham soup – what a great guy Doug is – and Bet’s finally watching Dead Mean Don’t Wear Plaid. Love it!!! I think that All of Me and Dead Men were 2 shows that were on early cable TV movie reruns because I can remember – I’m thinking teen years and summers at home from college- watching those over and over. Just so much fun!!! I’m embarrassed to say that I didn’t realize Carl Reiner was Alan Brady until more recently. I’m thinking I first knew what he looked like some time around the 80s so I hadn’t made the connection back to the Dick Van Dyke show.

I’ll get through the rest of the show at some point πŸ™‚
Bet – loved it when you said “Mama Bowles came out of my mouth”. Kevin always says when my parents are in town I suddenly sound Texas and my “briiiight” and “liiiight” words take on a serious Texas drawl – otherwise I can pass pretty much with no one knowing my Texas roots.
