HI!
Sheltering in place has seen me really withdraw from the world and social media; I haven’t been on Facebook much in the past couple of months. But when I went on yesterday, I got the chance to chat with Betster – who told me you were recording the show?! I thought because Heidi’s mom was in town, the show was off! Lucky me – I HAVE A BINGE LISTEN FOR THE LONG WEEKEND!
Sadly, I’m mostly through with the shows I’ve missed.
A few things I need to respond to before you record again:
1. Michigan and Wisconsin – ALL OF THOSE PEOPLE need to fuck right off and stay out of Illinois. Good god, how is wearing a mask an infringement on civil and/or constitutional rights?
2. Doug and Lynn are really awesome.
3. Harmony in the Sackerson Household – Punim lunges too – a lot. But it sounds like Poppy is a sweet baby who is somewhat kind to the kitties. I’m impressed that Poppy hasn’t been trying to chase them out 24/7. GOOD GIRL!
4. I’m OK with Trump taking risks with his own health. The quicker he self-destructs the better for the world. Take all the heart attack-causing anti-malarial drugs you want, Cheeto Mussolini, and by all means, keep shaking the hands of your sick staffers before they go off to the hospital.
5. Now I’m all angry and I have to go listen to another episode to calm down.
Wow – I feel like leaving the same comment from last week that was something like – wow – it’s already Saturday again??!! Our long weekend activities are doing some yard work which today has meant going to 2 Lowes stores and 1 Home Depot – we haven’t done anything in the actual yard yet π We used curbside orders except for getting 10 bags of mulch – I’m beginning to really like someone doing shopping for me and me just picking it up. Haven’t convinced myself to do this at the grocery store but I know lots of folks are doing that. Our county is opening restaurants back up to 50% capacity I think starting today – so that will be interesting to see how that goes. The traffic has really picked up – I’m missing the stay-at-home orders π At the University we are spending lots of time talking about what Fall classes might look like. Fun – fun!
