Hey Ladies – been behind lately! Catching up – Stennie – very impressed with your writing!!!
Alanis and Jagged Little Pill – I played the heck out of that cassette 🙂
Music – I recently updated my phone plan and got apple music included – I’ve never had any service like this before. It is a hoot to be in the car and just tell it to play “The Carpenters”, “The Bee-Gees” or “Linda Rondstat” FYI – did either of you watch the CNN special about Linda Rondstat? I thought it was very good – I had no idea how many people she crossed paths with. I recommend it.
You guys have really hit the movies lately!! Big stuff – glad to hear that even though Rocketman isn’t a real autobiography that it is worth it. And I am intrigued by Parasite.
Bet – that is insane about the postcard delay – wow!!!
Hope you guys have a great show!!
Thanks for the Jim Wark RIP. Another life cut short by a very fast moving cancer.
We are going to Richmond Triangle Players tonight to see “Cake.” It is about a baker who is challenged when asked to make a wedding cake for a lesbian couple. Our friend David, who decorated for our wedding and made our wedding cake, produced the fake cakes for this production. It has been a theatre-month for us —— two weeks ago, we saw “Daddy Long Legs” and last week we saw “Fences.” All of these are part of the Acts of Faith festival, this year 14 productions strong, with all the local theaters participating: “The nation’s largest faith-inspired theatre festival.” At several performances, there are “talk back” sessions. Sometimes, it is not blatantly obvious how they fit in to the theme but it is nice to think of faith and spirituality in a more broader definition.
Happy early birthday to Bet!
