I just got glasses, but only need them for reading and working on the computer so I don’t have much to offer in that regard. However, one person mentioned a downfall of glasses was not being able to see during sex. From the perspective of the person they are having sex with, I think that is GREAT!! I must say, removing the glasses of the other person before removing your clothes – YAY! It’s like a snapchat filter! It just smooths everything out! π (Not that I’m speaking from personal experience…)
OH man. Pets and eating. Punim will not eat or drink when I leave him alone in the condo. He’s fine when I board him. When I do dare to leave him for more than a couple of hours, he greets me with kisses and then runs to his water bowl and drinks the whole thing.
Oh my – all your glasses comments are spot on – rain and the fogging up are the worst! I’ve had the transitions for a while now.
Haircut – oh my – they are always asking you what you think -I try soooooo hard not to roll my eyes EVERY TIME – ha! And walking from the sink back to the chair – I probably look like I’m drugged or drunk because I walk so slowly – but I’m so concerned about hitting something because it’s not familiar territory. And I just feel so disconnected sitting there not being able to see.
And speaking of shower – one positive is that I never know how dirty the shower is (yuck, I know). But I’ll go happily along and then one day I’ll still have my glasses on and then see the dirt on the walls and finally have to clean once I know it is there. And trying to clean is also a mess (see fog and rain comments above-ha!). Optimally you’d get an initial clean done then climb in and try to do the rest and rinsing – which lasts a very short time due to the fact that my glasses are quickly useless!!
I finally got a small magnifying mirror for the bathroom counter after using one at a hotel to put my make up on – that was a way-too-late-in-life to realize how much easier that would be!!
When we went on a scout trip that had snorkling – I found these swimmer goggles for like $17 that you could buy with prescription – they are pretty generic – but I was able to get a pair pretty close to E’s eyes and 2 pairs for me (they were easy to take apart so I used the 2 to make one pair that worked with my non-matching prescription eyes!) Best purchase ever! I used them at the pool once since then and it just felt so much better because I don’t feel like I’m lost. I should go swimming again…
Sorry for the long comment – this one definitely hit close to home!!
