My favorite moment of the show: Bet says name the guy in ….. and Stennie guesses: “Tracy Morgan” – you guys are so on the same wavelength!!
Boys on the Side – one of my absolute favorite movies to cry to!!
Good luck with your surgery, Bet – so hopeful that you will have a quick recovery and be “clear eyed”!
So, so many things to say…
1. I’d say “during recess.”
2. Betster, your surgery is now next week! Wishing you smooth sailing and clear vision. Also, my grandmother had that surgery before lazers when she was in her late 80s. She came through like a champ. You will too.
3. THANK YOU for the shout outs and you rules on the previous episode! Very good timing they were – they helped me get through a crap day.
4. Boys on the Side – I LOVED that movie, but am somewhat embarrassed to admit that I first saw it while living in Austria, and therefore know it by its German title, Coffee, Milk and Sugar. What do you think? How racist is that title?
5. I would like to propose a topic for a future show – one that the other Hucklebugees can participate in. How do you keep yourself organized? What tips/tricks – or as the kids say, “hacks” can anyone recommend? The older I get, the more I realize that I do NOT have my shit together in that department.
6. In an earlier show, Stennie mentions dogs and their proclivity to licking their privates. Punim isn’t really into his privates, but he loves to go to town on his arms and paws. I’ve had him checked for allergies and thankfully, his vet said that Punim just really likes to keep his hands clean. And he chews his nails.
7. Betster – my family adores you and I think at least one of my cousins has begun visiting your page for Recipe Sundays. Gelatinized goo really takes her back to her days as a post-war baby. (She’s my father’s first cousin, but way closer to my age than his.)
Love the show, I listen even though it is Summer, even if I’m not a frequent commenter. This goes back to #5.
Also – I wanted to ask, are either of you seeing Squeeze this tour?
