Sam Rockwell
I haven’t seen it yet, but I’m looking forward to SEVEN PSYCHOPATHS, (dir. Martin McDonagh’s follow-up to IN BRUGES) in which Sam co-stars with Colin Farrell, Christopher Walken, et al.
I also highly recommend MOON, which is about as good a showcase for Sam’s talent as you’re likely to find. A great, underrated gem.
I second “Moon” as a good Sam Rockwell movie, and in my opinion his Zaphod was a nice departure from other UK versions of him, with a bit of George Bush Texas idiocy behind it.
I think that Happiest Penguin clip was the inspiration for Happy Feet. Either that, or that penguin’s internal monologue is “COME ON GUYS MAY AULD ACQUAINTANCE BEEEEE FORGOT AND ALL THAT HAPPY NEW YEAR COME ON GUYS GUYS GUYS!?!??!”
I just got a letter from the Acoustic Neuroma symposium organizer…I can’t sell or distribute my book there… it might be misconstrued to have been endorsed by them. huh.
