Sten, where do you buy that foam bath mat? I used to have my desk setup as a standing desk but my heels were killing me after a few days, so I switched it back to a sitting desk. That bath mat sounds *perfect* for my needs.
Regarding the backstory of the “like the back of my hand” saying: Perhaps, a fellow hit someone else with the back of his hand so many times, that this someone else’s face was imprinted on the back of said fellow’s hand? Maybe like: “The back of my hand knows your face well!” Maybe?
The Supreme Court does rule! They’re judges! HA!
But seriously, SCOTUS can go fuck itself. While they did do a good thing for gay rights, they did it on the heels of gutting the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Following that, they also issued a ruling that makes it harder for people to sue corporations. I blogged about it here: http://thepete.com/?p=13117195692
The SCOTUS shocker for me was that they ruled that biotech companies (like Monstanto) can’t patent the genes for life forms. This is interesting for viewers of Orphan Black a really fun BBC America show which I highly recommend.
