Chocodiles were my favorite… I read something that PBR may buy Hostess. Oh and are Ring Dings still around? I think Ding Dongs permanently replaced them. I also have seen a couple things about how Hostess has been trying to cut bennies and pay of the workers for a while now and really, this strike is just the final nail in the coffin so it’s not all the workers’ fault for striking. I haven’t had time to confirm it, though.

I did finish “Murder One” and I sorta felt like it went a bit off the rails at the end. No spoilers, but it had an almost “he was dead all along!” kind of ending that left me a bit underwhelmed, but it was not that big a deal. I have now started the second season and so far so good again, though it feels different because they’ve skipped past all the procedural stuff and feels much more like a typical lawyer show. But it’s still plenty entertaining, though.

Do those electronic cigarettes do anything for you, Sten?

That’s it from me! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

  2. MAN, does it always rain this hard in Oregon/?

I want a shout-out! Here is my comment! I can’t remember anything about the episode because I listened to it 2 weeks ago and I’ve had my brain full of other things. So here: why do people say to “touch wood” for luck? And get your minds out of the gutter.

Welcome back, gals! We missed ya~ Like Krizzer, I don’t remember much since the last two weeks have been a bit of a blur to me, but regarding your recent family vacation topic: My family did not take many actual vacation trips together (my parents were probably too poor) except a few times to the beautiful and tiny mountain town of Ouray (YOU-ray) in southwestern Colorado for the 4th of July. We also used to visit extended family in Texas, and when my sister and I were old enough to travel alone, we spent a week or two every summer at my Aunt Sandy and Uncle Gene’s ranch near San Antonio. It was so great to be out in the middle of the country, riding horses, hiking and fishing. I learned how to drive a car and shoot a gun, though not at the same time. Lots of happy memories from those days.

Good afternoon ladies. Finally listened to the show in a timely manner since there was extra time! also can’t be in the house without the TV on. Don’t care what is on but I get nervous with the silence! Gee my folks also watch Duck Dynasty so I guess I’ll have to check it out. Oh, I really like Mario Kart! E and I used to play all the time. I’m going to have to make him play with me again! E has a turtle named Koopa from Mario!

  6. Comments in response to who-knows-which recent episodes:

If you want a doubly delightful dose of James Nesbitt, check out JEKYLL, a BBC miniseries from 2007, in which he plays the titular doctor, as well as his unhinged übermensch alter-ego. We found it really fun and refreshingly free of any references to the IRA, the Troubles, or potato famine. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0497298/ Apparently, it’s available for free streaming with Amazon Prime.

Given how it’s like oxygen to youz guys, I would have thought you’d have explored the etymology of the F-word. I suspect most people have an idea about where it comes from (thanks, Van Halen!), but it’d be interesting to hear what you came up with.

Congratulations on what appeared to be a fairly low-stress, drama-free move, Stennie. I bet it feels great to be back in Bellingham. I’m very happy for you (and more than a little envious).
