The other two are “Pudd’nhead Wilson” and the first half of “Huckleberry Finn”

  2. My two favorite unsung movies I can watch over and over…sliding doors (with your favorite actress, Gwyneth, and Unconditional Love (I’m pretty sure I’ve talked about this….

Summer has finally arrived to the ham and this weekend is the Relay for life…

  3. The HB comments are reminiscent of Bellingham where everyone shows up at the last minute. It’s BS I tell you…BS!

  4. Little-known fact: EW actually cribbed the “50 Best Movies You’ve Never Seen” idea from a blog post/survey on offbeat/underrated films, which I did back in ought-six, called “Of Underdogs, Dangerfields and Perennial Bridesmaids: 125 films that deserve a second look.”

Many of what I suspect are (or were) our mutual blogging friends, including the great Dennis Cozzalio, weighed in with lots of interesting and unexpected suggestions.

Some highlights from my list: Soderberg’s “Out of Sight” and “The Limey,” Michael Mann’s “Manhunter,” Bruce Beresford’s “Black Robe,” and John Sayles’ “Lone Star.” (Oh, and I’m in total agreeance on “The Matador,” which came out after I did my list. I guess maybe it’s due for an update. Although, for the love of all that’s holy, can we PLEASE not use the term ‘reboot?’)

Going back a few episodes, I’d love to live in The Incredibles’ house–really, the look of that whole movie is a drool-inducing paean to mid-century modern design. Love it.

  5. Capt. A says:

Forgot to mention that a later movie of Connecticut Yankee starred Bing Crosby as the yankee.

  6. Kelly w/ a Y says:

Crap! Forgot to post in time!!! Curses!!!!! I can’t remember what I was gonna say now!!! I should really write down what I’m going to say, but I’m usually listening in the car. Happy podcasting, ladies!
