I can tell you for sure that Michelle’s stranger to be thanked was not me. I would have tried to contact her in a different way. Googled her name try to get a phone number and contact her to get her belongings back to her. I don’t think I would have done the Fed Ex.

Ladies, ladies, ladies!!! Have a wonderful Christmas Eve and an explosive New Year!!
Today was one of those days that almost completely sucked, and in the end, only half-way…I thought my wallet was taken from the front seat of my car when I went in at the gas station to get coffee…I was on the road before I realized it was gone, so asked Ken to cancel the two credit cards in my wallet….and then all I could think about were the $200 in gift cards for the spa, the bookstore and a favorite restaurant, as well as the full-frequent- coffee drinker card in there….
When I got home, I discovered Ken had easily cancelled both cards, no charges were made this afternoon….and then I found the wallet under the passenger seat.
Hey, I had brain surgery….gimme a break..Like you’ve never done an air-head thing….
I am so far behind in my listening, I’m not even at Thanksgiving and here it is almost December 24th…and you know what that means??? My famous annual Hanukkah Party (at least this year, it’s the 24th…) Merry Christmas to you two, and to your listeners, Happy Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and Merry Christmas and season’s greetings…I am looking forward to Huckle-Con in NoLo this year…I can’t WAIT to drink with all of you!!!
love love love

Holy shit. Happy holidays. Boy, am I behind.
If it makes you feel any better, I’m also 3 weeks behind on Amazing Race too. Surprised I haven’t already sperled it for myself.
T-shirts I don’t wear/still own: TV w/o Pity Amazing Race “God Is In the Tub” shirt (from a running Miss Alli joke about Christian teams constantly asking God for help in completing dumb TAR tasks). Probably others, but would need to raid my closet for more.
Again, merry merry to you and yours All caught up!
Here I go again, catching up! I’m way back on 252 π Life’s been a real PitA lately. Both cats are sick now so that’s a double needle whammy. Bet, sorry you’re on needle duty, too. I hope you mind needles less than Sierra and I. I don’t have a “random nice person” story. I’ve had weirder things happen where people trust me to be the random nice person, like how back in the 90s, when I had my very long hair and my motorcycle jacket, a woman in front of me at an ATM asked me to type in her PIN for her because she’d forgotten her glasses. I’m sure people have been nice to me, but not so overtly that I’d notice them. I’m sure someone’s told you this by now, but: 1) Ryan Reynolds played Green Lantern, not Green Hornet (that was Seth Rogen) 2) Philo Farnsworth is credited with the invention of the TV, 3) you don’t know what the cotton gin is? COUGHwikipediaCOUGH
Ep 253: We match up on a LOT of movies–just not recently. However, I thoroughly enjoyed “The Muppets”. Not as much as Bet, but quite a bit. I know a guy online who said it was “a piece of shit” and I had to unfollow the guy because of it. I think I didn’t like Dean Spanley because I knew that it was supposed to be good and, for me, it ended up being a one-joke-wonder. Well, minus the wonder because once I found out what the deal is, I found the rest of the movie somewhat shrugworthy. I loved “This is England”. The “older brother” character on there is on the latest series of “Misfits” from the UK. I highly recommend that show if you haven’t seen it. Oh–and Sten, speaking of Red Dwarf, did you know they’re shooting another series of it? RDX is shooting now. I’ve been grinning at Robert Llewelyn’s tweets from the studio for the last week or so π I hope both of your moms are doing OK now!! Sten, the oldies station my step-dad listened to here in NYC when I was growing up now plays, instead of doowop, 70s rock. :\ And yes, the same X amount of songs. Oh and Japan has superior toilet technology, I’ve been told. I’ve seen the toilets at the Japan Society here in NYC, but have never tried them-but Siskita’s said they work pretty well. Bet, I’m soooo sorry about your Internet troubles! That sucks! I’d go nuts!!
OK, that’s it for now. Going to try to get to 254 and 255 before next Friday.
Happy Holidays, ladies!
Ep 254: I’m so sad to see Stennieville go away! Sorry I didn’t do a better job of encouraging you to keep at it. I have loads of psychological tricks to get myself to keep at it, some might have worked on you. So, do we keep calling you “Stennie,” Stennie, if Stennieville is gone?
Ohhh, if only Sierra and I had time to host the Hucklebug. >_<
Ep 255: I sooo loved the T-shirt segment. Very fun. I have quite a few Ts that I no longer wear but can't bare/bear (which is it??) to part with. Siskita has promised that she would sew the ones I love but no longer wear into a quilt, but has yet to start the project. My favorite shirts are shirts given to me or shirts that I acquired because I was in the right place at the right time. Like all the shirts I got while working at Hanna-Barbera. I got a glow in the dark Jonny Quest shirt and a really snazzy (but kinda 80s-ish) collared T with the 90s Jonny Quest logo on it. My most prized shirt from the time, however, is a Marvin Moose T-shirt given to me by my mentor in animation. He had a bunch of them made up in the 70s and it featured a close-up of the lead character of his independent comic. I never wore the shirt (the character was kinda ugly), but the man taught me everything important I know about animation. I miss those days! I'm also really proud of my crew shirts I kept when I was still working in commercials, though they're falling apart.
Aw, damn–you guys are doing a Christmas episode? I guess my comments are too late for a shoutout. π Ah well, at least I'm caught up now!!
Happy Holidays, ladies!! Here's one of my favorite Christmas songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9OtbXc4Q1I It's called "Agnostic Christmas Shoes". Good stuff. Sorry for the quality, but if you listen close you should be able to get the lyrics.
