  1. ok. not to ruffle any feathers….but I’m requesting that you all “like” my GimmeAMinute facebook page and “share” my http://www.gimmeaminute.com on your wall since have shared and liked all of yours. Doesn’t that seem fair? (Oh, I feel a Minute coming on….)

    love you

    Marla

  2. Bet says:

That doesn’t load for me, Marla. Is it the server or url?

  3. Donna says:

I was flipping channels tonight and stumbled upon an English football game where one of the teams was wearing claret and blue. I knew seeing Aston Villa was a sure sign that I needed to finally post the hello you’ve been begging for from us silence listeners. But I’m not exactly going to widen your demographics — I’m white. I’m not Jewish (but I have sung Hanukkah songs while a member of a lesbian and gay chorus). Oh, yeah, I’m gay. I’m not black either (but I work with a lot of wonderful black women). I am a Notary Public which for some reason (I’m sorry, I haven’t listened to all 215 episodes yet!), seems to matter. I’m a member of my local NPR station. I have two dogs presently, Zippy and Pinto, and have had past dogs named Scout (yes, as in To Kill a Mockingbird Scout, even though he was a boy) and Angel (as in Angel Flake Coconut, also a boy). I live in Virginia but my partner is English (Arsenal fans). But perhaps the number one reason that makes me different from all your other listeners is……….I’ve ridden in Betsy’s Pacer.

  4. siskita says:

Pete & I are happy you like your baby sock monkeys! Post pics on Facebook! And if Scout or Buster or Milo want to chew on them, we give blessing (although that’s not what they’re intended for).

and OMG STENNIE YOU SAW SCOTT BAKULA IN THE FLESH!?!??! AAAAAAAaaaaa! As a sci-fi-musical-theater nut, I’m very jealous. He’s done some great musical theater, and of course I love Quantum Leap with a passion. Unfortunately, Enterprise sucked so bad, even Bakula’s presence couldn’t keep me watching.

Keep up the good work, ladies!

  5. Donna says:

By the way, Janet thinks every show is a rip-off of a BBC show!

  6. LilyG. says:

I think Virginia is taking over at the HB — have we finally overtaken Washington state?

  7. Lyndie says:

Hey there… just wanted to let you know that I still listen! πŸ™‚ I told you I was addicted.

  8. Duke says:

For all you Wii owners out there The Price is Right for Wii is a great party game. Everyone yells out prices and has a good time.

I wish 5,000 pigeons would drop dead downtown. Nasty little rats. Why does it have to be birds that aren’t pissing you off?

  9. I would like to propose that, in light of her response to the Tuscon shootings, Sarah Palin’s status be upgraded from perpetual fuck-off to dead-to-me. Truly, there is no limit to that woman’s depravity and self-importance.

  10. Patrick says:

Very late to comment, but I just want to say that I think I love your new commenter, Donna. Hooray for more Gunners fans! And I’m not gay, but I can learn. Um, wait….anyway, welcome!

On the soccer front, it thrills me to no end that Stennie is a Football Manager player. Looked at that game many a time, and convinced myself that I would never have the time to play it. Maybe I can live vicariously through the virtual Fleetwood Town Fishermen. According to their real-life team Wikipedia page, they’re also known as “The Cod Army”. Thought you could have fun with that.

Splitting my bet on Bet’s “gory” pet story: putting 50% on “blood” and 50% on “poop”. But still hoping for the best.

In the midst of one of the worst work-weeks in my career, I can’t express enough how much your podcast helped brighten my day. Definitely one of the highlights of most weeks. For that, I threw you ladies a new ITunes review. Hope it helps.
